A Bottleneck for Sales and Legal
Before Docusign, Perceptyx’s contract and legal request processes were a manual, fragmented headache. The legal team primarily used email to manage incoming work, which slowed everything down and made it tough to track the status of any request or contract.
“We were moving on from our old contract management solution and we needed a way to handle legal tickets,” said Brendan Mills, Contracts Administrator at Perceptyx. “We were using a mix of our previous CLM solution, Slacks, our email inbox, but we didn’t have one streamlined process. Our team wanted a real solution to get organized all in one place.”
The sales team was feeling the pressure, too. They needed a faster way to create proposals and agreements within Salesforce. This was especially critical for European deals that required qualified electronic signatures, as their existing tools just couldn't keep up.

“We like to say that Docusign is easy on the eyes,” Mills noted. “Docusign University has a ton of resources that make it easy to learn, and the Docusign team was super helpful whenever I had questions.”

The improvements for Perceptyx’s sales and legal teams were almost immediate.
One of the first big wins was creating a self-service form for NDAs. What used to be a days-long email chain suddenly became a fully automated process.
“With Docusign, an NDA is sent to our administrator and the other party, and once it's signed, it’s automatically filed away,” Mills explained. “That one process, which used to take days, now takes less than an hour.”
By automating tasks and integrating the IAM platform with their existing systems, Perceptyx now saves several hours every week in legal operations alone.
“If we can click less and download less, we’re saving time,” Mills said. “Manual processes don’t engage the mind here. If we can get rid of them with technology, it’s better for everybody.”
Beyond easing the pain of repetitive work, Docusign also expedited Perceptyx’s deal cycles. With the Salesforce integration, the sales team now generates proposals and sends them for signature in minutes, all without leaving Salesforce.
Visibility across teams has seen a major boost as well. “When you open a request in Agreement Desk, you can see a timeline of everything that’s happened," Mills said. "We can see different versions, send messages, and track what’s been worked on. That transparency has helped get everyone on the same page.” Agreement Desk empowers users to effortlessly manage requests, collaboratively negotiate and redline, and automate the busywork—accelerating the path to signed agreements.
